Committed to the land, the
environment and our community.

Since 1856, the Van Vleck Family has understood that our livelihood is connected to the land and environment. Our ranching and resource operations are all reflective of our proud part in California’s history and ensuring it’s bright future.

Premium Beef

For generations, we have been raised on a simple but important principle: Take very good care of your animals and they will take care of your family. That principle guides us to sustainably produce some of the best beef in the world.

Keeping the Sacramento Region Green

The Van Vleck family has committed to preserving in perpetuity thousands of acres of their ranching operations in eastern Sacramento County to protect wildlife and continue to raise cattle.  They are working with local agencies to create one of the largest private conservation areas in the Sacramento region.

Sustainability for all the
Sacramento Region

We also help the Sacramento region be  more sustainable by diverting significant portions of its green waste from our regions landfills and transitioning it into compost use on our ranch and available for residential and businesses landscapes around the region.  This composting reduces our region’s waste and increases the quality of soil and the soil’s ability retain water which promotes significant water conservation.

We embrace sustainable practices which include:
